Ecological effects of small renewable energy plants, USA

It is vital, however, that the scale of those impacts is evaluated before construction begins, to assess the existing ecology, and to identify local species and habitats of particular concern.
Pisces Conservation were asked to study proposed small-scale tidal power facilities on the East River, New York for Verdant Energy, and have since continued to work for other companies investigating issues related to the deployment of these plants.
