Pisces Conservation has acted as advisor to a number of clients, including British Energy/EDF, Premier Power, AES and Marchwood Power, on a wide range of issues affecting the operation of their stations.

These issues include:
- Impingement & entrainment
- Water quality
- Foam production at outfalls
- Thermal plume behaviour
- Migration of salmon and sea trout
In the course of our consultancy we have carried out full impingement and entrainment monitoring, temperature recording, offshore and intertidal fish, plankton and invertebrate surveys, beam trawling, push-netting, and computer modelling of plume behaviour.
We have recently contributed an assessment of local fishery resources and the likelihood of impingement and entrainment for a proposed large nuclear power plant in Abu Dhabi.
Pisces staff have long experience in all aspects of power plant operation, and are able to provide advice and consultancy, from the simplest query right up to complex legal cases and public inquiries. In those instances we are happy to work in both case preparation and as expert witnesses in court.
