Multivariate Statistical Analysis Courses
Pisces run one-day courses on techniques of multivariate statistical analysis, at clients' premises. Designed for post-graduate students and working ecologists, these courses explore data collection, methods of analysis, and introduce Pisces' own software. Subjects covered include:
- Objectives of multivariate analysis
- Ordination, TWINSPAN, Clustering, DECORANA
- Detrended Correspondence Analysis (DCA)
- Principal Components Analysis (PCA) and NMDS
- Fuzzy clustering & gravity clustering
As working biologists, Pisces Conservation understand the importance of reliable analytical techniques, and a grasp of their underlying principles. Pisces' own software packages are designed to be simple to use, yet powerful enough for the most complex applications, and to get the most from Pisces software, we encourage users to take an in-depth study of the field of multivariate analysis.
